Whether you are building your dream mountain home, a waterfront home, a Japanese Post and Beam or a commercial/institutional structure, we know that it is not just a question of the aesthetics that a timber frame can offer. It is also about the longevity, the structural strength of a timber frame post and beam and the beauty of natural wood. For homeowners, the premium resale value may also be enticing.
We are a full service timber frame company which has been providing custom timber frame design, engineering, fabrication and complete raising/installation services since 1997. We serve builders, architects, developers and homeowners with timber frame requests and are available for plan review and consultation.
We are craftsmen and craftswomen. We hand-cut our trusses and frames. Hand-cuts offer the most control, allow for more design options, lends a uniqueness not available with machine cut and keep great people doing great work in our shop.
We are a fully insured, licensed general contractor who can take your project from an idea to total completion (select areas).
High value building options include our proprietary ShopBuilt High Performance Panelized Wall Systems, Structural Insulated Panels, Timber Frame and Insulated Concrete Form Construction.
Our staff carpenters are full-time employees of HCTF. They are trained and knowledgeable in Timber Frame, SIPS, Panelized Wall and Standard Construction. Many have received their HERS Rater, BPI Building Envelope and Envelope Professional Certifications.
High County Timberframe has been involved in the design and construction of numerous commercial and residential Japanese Post and Beam Projects.
Japanese Post & Beam allows for a great amount of design possibilities to be discovered from a single piece of wood, and the many uses it can have in a variety of building projects. It also provides for incredible interior spaces below the structural framing. These interior accents include items such as beautifully crafted doors, shoji screens, benches and furniture.
In addition to our residential projects, commercial projects include The Dawes Arboretum & Japanese Garden, Newark, Ohio and The New York Botanical Gardens, Bronx, NY.
