In addition to our timber frame and general contractor services, we now offering design, sales and installation of Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF's) to both builders and homeowners in the High Country and surrounding areas.
ICFs stands for Insulated Concrete Forms. Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs) are hollow foam blocks that are stacked into the shape of the exterior walls of a building, reinforced with steel rebar, and then filled with concrete. ICF combine one of the finest insulating materials - Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) - with one of the strongest structural building materials - steel reinforced concrete. The result is a wall system of unmatched comfort, energy efficiency, strength and noise reduction. They come in different shapes and sizes to accommodate various design plans. ICF walls can be finished just like any frame-construction project.
We have used ICFs in the construction of many of our projects. Insulated Concrete Forms provide an excellent curing environment for concrete walls, resulting in a concrete foundation with about double the compressive strength of conventionally poured concrete foundation.
